Explore nature close to home with a Straub Environmental Center educator! This guided outing for the whole family will highlight the birds, squirrels and blossoms that live in the park. Learn how the Kalapuya people once harvested camas wildflower bulbs for food and how some squirrels build "squirrel condos" high up in the trees while others burrow deep into the ground. This outing will take place weather permitting; please bring sturdy shoes, rain coats, water and a snack.
Cost: $15 per family and includes field journals for kids 4-17. Check or cash accepted.
Location: Meet at the base of the Derby Track near the Mission Street parking lot.
