WILDFLOWER WALK: THE HIDDEN MEADOW AT SILVER FALLS STATE PARK

John Savage of the Willamette Chapter of the Native Plant Society of Oregon (NPSO) and Catherine Alexander of the Straub Environmental Center and David Douglas Society will lead a family-friendly hike to view the camas, cluster lilies, monkey flowers and other native plants in a beautiful remote meadow at Silver Falls State Park. This is a rain-or-shine event. Bring water, snacks, and appropriate foot gear and clothing for wet conditions. Space is limited to ten participants ages 10 and older. Pre-registration is required. 

Location: Meet at Noon in the parking lot at the Willamette Heritage Center (1313 Mill Street SE Salem, OR 97301) to carpool (or) meet at 1:15 pm in the South Falls Lodge parking lot at Silver Falls State Park. 

Cost: $5 suggested donation per person if you're driving your own vehicle (free to members of the NPSO and the David Douglas Society) (or) $10 if you would like to ride in the shuttle van from the Willamette Heritage Center to the park and back.
