Join the winter meeting of nonprofit organizations, agencies, and schools that provide high-quality environmental education experiences to our regional community. We will begin with a brief introduction of the Marion-Polk Food Share Youth Farm, given by Youth Farm Manager Jared Hibbard-Swanson. Then, we will be joined by keynote speaker Jenna Mendenhall from the OSU Extension Service and coordinator of the Oregon Environmental Literacy Program (OELP). She will be sharing an overview of the program, as well as a new tool designed to assist educators in integrating environmental literacy standards into program and classroom curricula. We will conclude with an opportunity for attendees to network and share upcoming initiative, events and environmental education news with the group.
