SPANISH TRANSLATORS | FALL 2019 OUTDOOR SCHOOL

We’re seeking fluent Spanish speakers to translate information about our outdoor school program for field trip chaperones, parents, and elementary students in the Salem area. Wage: $17/hour, including travel time. Choose the dates and times below that fit your schedule!

FIELD INSTRUCTORS | FALL 2019 OUTDOOR SCHOOL

Straub Outdoors field instructors are positive, enthusiastic individuals who provide diverse student groups with meaningful experiences in nature's classroom. Our instructors have experience and/or training in natural science, outdoor recreation and working with children. Our ecology-focused curricula are supplemented with activities highlighting creative arts, socio-emotional wellness, cultural ecological knowledge, physical fitness, wilderness skills, environmental stewardship, and Spanish language. One of our top priorities is serving Latinx-identifying students and English Language Learners. Conversational fluency in Spanish is highly valued.

We are seeking instructors and assistant instructors for our Fall 2019 outdoor school season and will be accepting applications until the positions are filled or until Thursday, September 12 at 5:00 pm.

Hours: Part-time, variable, seasonal and flexible. The Fall 2019 outdoor school season is scheduled to begin on September 16 and end on October 18. Instructors average 7 to 25 hours per week, depending upon class schedules and other professional commitments. All instructors must be able to teach at least one day each week during the employment period.  Please note: The Fall 2019 outdoor school schedule is contingent upon signed service agreements with our school clients and is subject to change.
