During Winter Break Camp, we’ll study the aerodynamic wings of seagulls and turkey vultures, and learn how other animals like flying squirrels and bumblebees manage to stay airborne too. We’ll try out different designs of paper airplanes to determine which features make them fly higher, farther, and faster and then design and build realistic model planes. After trying out other kinds of aircraft like drones and rockets, we’ll also launch a weather balloon to collect and record atmospheric data!
